I have successfully taught art classes in the Huddersfield region for 10 years. Prior to that I taught Art at University level. Always part time and always remaining a practising artist who has exhibited widely at home and abroad. My style of teaching is lively and tries to give everyone in the lesson their own autonomy and develop their full potential. We have good facilities at all the venues.

HUDDERSFIELD

The Friends Meeting House on Church Street, Paddock, HD1 4TR is a superb space for art classes with ample parking. It is also on a frequent bus route and not far from the centre of Huddersfield.

Tuesday evening is Watercolour: 19.00 - 21.00.

We explore this fascinating medium in a very wide ranging manner. All are welcome at anytime

Wednesday morning is Art Class: 10.00 - 12.00.

Suitable for beginners and those with some experience. In this class I like to wander across the full range of art media, one week it may be acrylic, the next charcoal, the next ink, the next a medium you have never thought about! Each time we try and match our ideas to the possibilities the method makes possible. Though you will bring your own art materials I will always have available many alternatives in the lesson, so lack of a particular paint or brush or paper will not be a problem.

HOLMFIRTH

The Phoenix Centre on Dunford Road, HD9 2DR is a superb space for art classes with ample parking. Not far from the centre of Holmfirth. Excellent facilities in a refurbished building.

Thursday afternoon is Art Class: 13.00 - 15.00.

Thursday evening is NEW Watercolour Class: 19.00 - 21.00.

Starting in September, this will be suitable for beginners as well as the more experienced.

Friday morning is Master Class: 10.00 - 12.00.

For those with some experience or the need for a more intensive programme.

You sign up for a specific class but may attend on an alternative day if you would like to. We always have freshly ground coffee and tea at no extra cost!
